Expect to explore the depths of crevasses (cracks in the glacier) and walk amongst ice towers known as ‘seracs’. From the outset, we will teach you how to use glacier travel equipment before progressing quickly through to the most unreal ice formations hidden in crevasse fields and ice-falls.
Here, you’ll be learning easy-moderate ice-climbing up crevasse walls and maybe even have a chance to climb out of a meltwater hole, aka ‘moulin’. Expect 1-2 climbs per person.
