At Ice Guardians Iceland, we understand that travel plans can change, and so we always recommend purchasing travel insurance before you depart for Iceland.
Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair, transparent and as flexible as we can while ensuring we can continue providing exceptional experiences.
For approved refunds, please allow up to seven working days for the amount to be processed and reflected in your bank account.
To secure your private tour, we require a non-refundable deposit to cover planning, logistics, and reserved resources for your exclusive experience.
Failure to pay the remaining balance by the deadline will result in automatic cancellation, and the deposit will be forfeited.
The 30% deposit is always non-refundable, regardless of when you cancel.
We strongly advise purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations, travel disruptions, medical issues or emergencies.
As you might be aware, the weather and conditions in Iceland are highly variable and at times dangerous. At Ice Guardians, we will always put our guests’ safety first.
Bad weather, in this instance, means bad for your safety as our guest. It frequently rains, snows, sleets, hails, and gusts in Iceland, and we go out more often than not in these conditions.
c. IGI will not refund if a participant is late or doesn’t show up, this includes even if the weather appears very bad, often meeting point weather is not indicative of the activity’s location weather. If unsure, please get in contact with us first. We recommend that participants stay in accommodation within a short driving distance of the meeting point of the activity, this negates the effect of closed sections of road, in particular due to natural disasters, weather and/or road conditions.
